LOVELOCK, Nev. — Nearly 40 sheep were killed after being struck by a car this week.
The crash occurred Tuesday morning in Lovelock, according to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the incident, and a dog was not killed, contrary to reports circulating on social media.
Deputies do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. However, they suspect the driver was not paying attention when the vehicle collided with the sheep.
